BioCharacter: Captain Hammer
Timeline: Just after Dr. Horrible ruined his big moment by blasting him with the Freeze Ray. He doesn't know Penny is dead, he's stuck mid-song.
Personality: Captain Hammer is an incredibly massive jerk. While he is a super hero who goes around saving the day there is nothing that says he needs to be a nice guy, and so he isn't. He delights in one-upping those who he considers to be enemies, rubbing in their faces how they'll never be as tall, handsome, muscular, or popular with the ladies as he is.
Incredibly smarmy but charming, women typically swoon over his incredible biceps. Not known for his brains, which has never been a hindrance to him, he instead has always gotten by on his boyish good looks and sex appeal. Also, he is quite well known for his hammer.

Background: Not much is actually known about the humble beginnings of Captain Hammer, in fact he rarely talks about how he got his start as a world-renown corporate superhero. Not very forthcoming when it comes to his life, all that Captain Hammer will really admit to is that Hammer is a self-centered superhero possessing super-human strength and near-invulnerability. He enjoys harassing Dr. Horrible, his personal nemesis, even when the situation does not warrant it.
Possessing a love of sweater-vests along with a desire to do 'the weird stuff', Hammer delights in the fact that he not only has groupies, but also a place he calls the 'Hammer Pad' which is where he keeps his Hamm-jet along with other crime-fighting items. Initially having hooked up with Penny just to piss off Dr. Horrible, Hammer quickly discovered that dating her raised his popularity so he attempted to make the most of it by supporting some of the 'help the homeless' initiatives she supported.
The city rejoiced at his efforts, and Captain Hammer was poised to become the most popular superhero ever when Dr. Horrible made his move. The last thing that Captain Hammer remembers is a crowd swaying along to his song about how everyone's a hero in their own way, when his world seemed to freeze.
